What is ListCharming?

ListCharming is a custom wedding registry where you can add any gift at all.

Our goal is to give you unlimited choice of gifts: you can add traditional items like china, financial contributions to a downpayment on a home, or "priceless" gifts where your guests don't pay anything at all. We then collect the funds for your gifts and give them to you, so you can buy the gifts on your own. This way you really can have anything you want.

How is ListCharming different?

We let you build a registry with gifts that reflects who you are as a couple. Most registries cover only a certain category of gifts be it traditional items like china and kitchenware, or funds for a honeymoon. On ListCharming, you have the freedom to do anything you want, and have gifts from many places all in one registry.

Can I really ask for anything?

Yes. If you can put a name, price, and description, you can add it to your registry.

Who can create a ListCharming registry?

ListCharming is currently available for US residents. If you are not a US resident, email us and we will try to set one up for you.

How long does my registry stay open?

Your registry stays open as long as you wish. You can unpublish it anytime by visiting the Publish & Share page under Build Registry.

We will contact you 2 weeks before your first wedding anniversary (50 weeks after your wedding date) to ask if you'd like to close you're registry. Simply reply to the email and your registry will be closed 1 year after your wedding.

By default, a registry will be closed 2 years after the wedding date unless you tell us otherwise by email.

How do I withdraw funds from my ListCharming account?

Visit the Transfer page to redeem your gift funds. Gift funds are sent to you via electronic funds transfer or by requesting a check via US first class mail.

Electronic funds transfers are free and are initiated within 2 business days of receiving your request. Funds arrive in US accounts within 5 business days. Receiving a check by mail is also free. Checks are mailed within 5 business days of receiving your request by USPS first class mail.

How do I get the gifts I list in my registry?

You purchase them on your own with your gift funds. ListCharming is not connected in any way to the merchants who sell the items you list in your page. We stay independent so that we can provide you unlimited choice in gifts.

What happens if we do not receive enough money to buy the gift we asked for?

We strongly advice you to consider all the extra costs for a gift, for example taxes, shipping charges, and the ListCharming fee. As a last resort, you can substitute a similar item with a lower cost.

Do gift givers pay a sales tax?

No. Please make sure that you include the sales tax in the price of the gift you list.

How do I tell our guests about our registry?

You can share the url to your page anyway you like. Most couples choose to add the url to their wedding website.

Can several people pitch in to buy a big gift?

Yes. You can add big ticket items and split the cost into as many contributions as you like by changing the price and quantity. For example, you can split a $300 gift into 6 contributions of $50 by setting the quantity to 6 and price to $50.

Can people outside the US give a gift?

Yes, as long as they have a valid Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal account.

What is a priceless gift?

A gift that doesn't have a monetary value. Just enter "0" into the price field for a gift and it will display as "priceless" on your registry. Guest who choose a priceless gift will not have to enter any billing information and will not be charged anything at all.

How do I make a priceless gift?

Just enter "0" for the price when creating or adding a gift and it will display as "priceless."

How do I know when I receive a gift?

You will receive an email when a guest gives you a gift. Your gifts along with the messages guests leave for you will be listed in the Give Thanks page.

How can I see which gifts were bought and by whom?

The Give Thanks page provides a list of the name and message of the sender of each gift, along with the name and picture of the gift they gave you. Keep track of which thank you notes you have already sent by checking the box.

Is credit card information secure?

Yes. Our site is encrypted via 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS), the best technology for encryption.
